Europe…
We headed south from Scotland on 8 April 08 and left the UK in late May. We serviced the Mog at Atkinson Vos - the Unimog dealers in Lancaster. From there we went to Devon and spent some time with our families before setting off for Europe. The actual route we took is below.

After driving across Europe, taking in the sites of Germany including Berlin and the lovely countryside, we headed for Poland via the Czech Republic. We arrived in the Ukraine in June.
Then we headed south again into Romania which was just stunning. Turning right, we spent time exploring Transylvania and on through Hungary.
Once in Croatia we headed for the coast and Oz did some serious rock climbing! A quick jaunt through Slovenia for some more climbing took us into the Dolomites National Park in Northern Italy and from there into France.
We took the two day ferry from France to Morocco on 1 September.
West Africa…

Morocco was a busy time for us as we had several friends who joined us for a holiday! After that the adventure really began!
We headed down through Mauritania and Senegal to The Gambia. From there we turned east back through Senegal to Mali which we arrived in late December and spent several weeks driving round. In January 2009 we headed south through Burkina Faso and down through Ghana to the coast.
We shiped the Mog back to Europe in February and collected it from France in March. It is now for sale - if you are interested then please email us.
