February Update - 19/2/08

I really like nurses as people... really, I do. But when you have to drive to Aviemore Medical Practice each week for an injection in each arm our fondness for them diminishes each time! They are really gentle but it still gives you that feeling of dread you had when at the dentist as a child while you wait for your name to be called!

We have opted for:
Hep A, Hep B, Rabies, Meningitis, Tick-borne encephalitis, Tetanus, Polio, Diptheria and Yellow Fever (which is compulsory in several countries). A total of 12 injections in all!

We have finally decided on the roof tent - a difficult choice but we have settled on a 'My Way'. Paul from My Way has reserved a 1.4 meter 'Evolution' and we are stopping off on the way south for a personal fitting (he's used to fitting them on Land Rovers and hasn't seen the height of the mog yet!). This is a big expense for us but we feel it will be worth having the option to sleep on the roof in the tropics and if we fall out we can have separate bedrooms!!

We've had a bit of snow this month but it didn't seem to slow progress down much. It does seem a bit surreal when discussing the fans and cold air blower surrounded by a foot of snow though!

We have sold nearly everything we own and it's only because of the lovely friends who have bought our furniture that we still are able to stay in the house as they have said that they won't take anything out until the week we leave!

Oz has now started on wiring our new spot and fog lights along with a 'lights on' alarm and fitting our new funky radio which you can plug an MP3 player into or a USB stick... we just have to agree on what music to play!

I am busy closing the business down and selling stuff. There is a mountain of paperwork to get through and a stack of sewing to complete but more of that in the next instalment...
